The difference between Roots fans and centrifugal fans
Roots fans are not centrifugal fans. Roots fans are volumetric fans, compressing gas through the synchronized rotation of two concentric rotors, while centrifugal fans accelerate gas through the centrifugal force generated by the impeller. Roots fans are energy-efficient, suitable for high-pressure transportation, stable in operation and capable of transporting a wide range of gases, while centrifugal fans have a large conveying capacity, are suitable for low-pressure and high-temperature gas transportation and have a simple structure. Both have their own advantages, the choice should be based on specific needs.
