Roots fan in operation, resulting in impeller damage or deformation of two kinds of cases, one is the fan running time is long, more than the normal wear and tear of its service life; a kind of not reached the design service life of the sudden damage. The reasons for the latter situation are:

1. Corrosion or wear on blade surfaces or rivet heads;
2. Loose rivets and blades;
3. 3 The impeller generates imbalance, and the vibration value exceeds the specified standard, so that the impeller is distorted and then skewed too much.

Solution:

1. Individual blades or rivets are damaged, the damaged blades or rivets can be replaced; most of the blades or rivets are damaged, then the impeller should be replaced with a new one.

2. Individual blades or rivets loose, available small punch tightened, if ineffective, it should be replaced with new rivets of the same material as the original rivets.

3. If the impeller is deformed and skewed too much, the impeller can be removed and corrected with a hammer, or the impeller can be placed flat on the platform and pressed against the edge of one side of the shaft disk until the impeller is corrected, and the impeller must be balanced and corrected after correction.
