(1) Check whether the model and specification of the mechanical seal are in accordance with the requirements of the design drawings, and whether all the parts (especially the sealing surface and auxiliary sealing ring) are damaged, deformed and cracked, etc. If there are defects, they must be replaced or repaired;
(2) Check whether the fit size, roughness and parallelism of each part of the mechanical seal meet the design requirements;
(3) When the Roots blower uses a small spring mechanical seal, the length and rigidity of the small spring should be checked to see if they are the same;
(4) check the host of the amount of fluctuation, swing and deflection is in line with technical requirements, sealing cavity is in line with the installation dimensions, sealing end cap and the shaft is perpendicular (the general requirements are: the amount of fluctuation of the shaft is not greater than ± 0.5ram, rotating ring sealing ring at the shaft swing is not greater than 0.06mm, the maximum shaft deflection is not greater than 0.05mm, sealing end cap and the gasket contact plane of the center line of the non-perpendicularity allowed) The difference is 0.03-0.05mm;
(5) Roots blower should be kept clean, especially the rotating ring, stationary ring sealing surface and auxiliary sealing ring surface should be free of impurities, do not use unclean cloth to wipe the sealing surface;
(6) It is not permitted to strike the sealing element with tools to prevent damage to the seal.
