Failures encountered during the use of Roots blowers

Roots BlowerWhat are the common failures in the process of use? On this issue Roots blower small editor to take you to understand.
I. Root causes of operational failures
Roots blowers work by meshing two impellers. The active impeller is dragged by the coupling (or belt drive) device connected to the motor, and the driven impeller is dragged by the synchronous gear mesh on the master and slave shafts. Therefore, the gear mesh is good or bad, the blower's safety and smooth operation plays an extremely important role. -Once the gears are damaged, it will lead to the damage of other parts. The rotor assembly is supported by bearings in the wall plate. The position of the support point, the size of the bearing clearance, the mounting accuracy, the accuracy of the bearing seat are all important factors for the smooth and trouble-free operation of the impeller, and are closely related to whether the impeller can be axially positioned. If the bearing fails, the impeller is bound to rub against the wall plate or casing. In addition, the large span of the bearing point and the thin journal are also one of the reasons for the impeller running faults and even broken shafts.
The reliability of the gear ring and gear hub, as well as the reliability of the gear hub, impeller, bearings, coupling (or pulley) and shaft fixation, is the key to whether or not the synchromesh gear can ensure the synchronized rotation of the two impellers, and is also an important factor affecting the reliability of the blower's operation. In fact, many of the blower's operating faults, usually due to the lack of precision of such components, poor coordination and assembly of poor alignment. As a rotating part of the active shaft in addition to withstand gas power, gear force, but also to withstand the coupling (or pulley) generated by the periodic interference force, the force situation is far more complex than the slave shaft. Therefore, the failure is mostly in the active shaft. However, because the slave shaft is in a passive state, so the slave impeller damage more opportunities.
It can be seen that the poor quality of gears, bearings and improper installation is the main source of operational failures, the parts of the fit is the most common parts of such failures. Its main manifestations are: burning casing (impeller and casing friction), burning wallboard (impeller and wallboard friction), playing the impeller (two impellers collision), burning gears, burning labyrinth seals, oil leakage, broken belts and so on. In addition, the operation failure is also related to improper piping or foreign objects into the casing, but also with the driving inlet and exhaust valves are not open, overpressure, cooling water is not open and other factors. In addition, after a long time running, parts will produce wear and tear, if not timely maintenance will also occur.
II. Causes of performance discomfort
For a particular blower, the flow rate increases with the speed of rotation, and decreases with the increase of internal clearance and system resistance; the exhaust temperature decreases with the speed of rotation, and increases with the increase of internal clearance and system resistance. Therefore, the main reason for insufficient flow, or high exhaust temperature, is often the impeller wear caused by the increase in between in addition to the belt slippage caused by the speed drop, or pipeline clogging caused by the increase in resistance and so on.
