(1) First, start the Roots blower and tighten the gate valve while observing the pressure gauge so that the pressure exceeds 10% of the set pressure.
(2) Then, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting lever counterclockwise until air is exhausted from the safety valve.
(3) During tightening of the gate valve, if the set pressure of the fan is not reached and air has been removed from the safety valve, turn the regulating lever clockwise again until air is not removed, then turn the lever counterclockwise until air has just been removed.
(4) Tighten the lock nut and adjusting nut.
